Independent Living
Independent Living
Independent Living is ideal for seniors who are still extremely active, but may need minor assistance with housekeeping, transportation, or occasional meal preparation.
Assisted Living Communities/Personal Care Homes
Assisted Living Communities/Personal Care Homes combine a home-like setting with personal support services, and can provide older adults with an alternative to nursing facility care that is both less expensive and less restrictive. While services vary and are based on the needs of each resident, communities typically provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, meal preparation, housekeeping, etc.
Secure Memory Care
Some assisted living/personal care facilities are designed specifically for individuals with moderate to severe dementia. These types of memory care communities often provide more supervision and security, including alarmed entries, so that wandering behavior can be closely monitored.
Memory care communities are staffed with caregivers who are accustomed to dementia-related behaviors, and activities are specifically tailored to individuals with cognitive impairment.
